1. Eye Rotation Exercise

The majority of the time, we tend to sit still and relax keeping the eyes fixed and focused on a still subject. When we do this, the eye socket muscles are affected and this can even lead to various eye diseases as well. It is advised to keep the eye muscles fully functional and rotating in order to keep them good and healthy. Consider rotating the eyes constantly for a few minutes as eye yoga.

The rotation can be classified in the below mentioned 3 ways:

Up and Down Eye Rotation: Moving the eyes up and down constantly increases flexibility and improves the vision as well. Just sit in your preferred pose and start moving your eyes up and down to keep the eye problems away. This exercise can be done for a few minutes and repeated after every 15 minutes as well.

Circular Eye Rotation:  This type of eye exercise is best for working professionals or individuals who used to spend a lot of time in front of screens. Try rotating your eyes circular in a clockwise direction or anti-clockwise direction can help in reducing the dryness or will also avoid any sort of irritations as well. This eye yoga should also be done for a few minutes and should be repeated after every 15 minutes as well. While doing the circular rotation, try to trace as a large circle as possible through the eyesight. Do not stress, just remain calm and focus on the objects on the path of the periphery. Repeat, close your eyes, and relax. Keep your head still and keep the spine upright.

Side Eye Rotation: Like the above two exercises, the side-to-side rotation of the eye can help in curbing out the headache and improve the eyesight as well. Various crucial diseases like Myopia or Hypermetropia can be easily controlled by side rotation. It will help in relaxing the muscles and save your eyes from any redness or irritation.

2. Gazing Eye Exercise

Before taking up this eye yoga, try to relax and breathe with comfort. You can start looking at a subject with one eye closed and try to form a focus on the subject. Once the focus subject should be closer and then anything in the far. This is to be repeated again and again and one eye exercise will be done. Then, it's the turn of the second eye for the same exercise. This exercise can be done by keeping the arm straight and focusing on the thumb. The thumb can be moved slowly towards the nose keeping the arm straight till you can no longer focus on the thumb clearly. Take a small pause and repeat this eye yoga 10 times.

The distant eye gazing on a specific object can help a lot in curbing out diseases related to the eye. Focus on the distant object as clearly as possible while keeping fully still and relaxed. You will start feeling relaxed and satisfied as you keep on practicing this exercise. Enjoy the vision and the scenic beauty and keep your eyes refreshed and stronger.

3. Palming Eye Exercise

Feeling tired with a long day’s work? Now, is the time to provide relaxation to your eyes and headache. Much stress on the eyes often results in severe headaches and in order to remove the same, palming remedy is the best eye yoga you can try. Keep your head thoughts free and relaxed before actually trying this exercise for your eyes. Rub your palms together and once they are warm, place them on the eyes. Keep repeating this procedure till your eyes start feeling a sense of relaxation.

Try to rub your palms for 15 seconds and place them by keeping the palm in a hollow so that there won’t be a direct touch of eyeballs. Transfer the heat energy to the eyes and breathe deeply to relax your thoughts and mind. This healing warmth keeps the eyes soft and stimulated and provides a sense of soothing and relaxation. Once this eye yoga is completed, gently remove the hands and slowly open the eyes as well. This exercise can simply help in relaxing the eye and also helps you in curing headaches.

4. Blinking Eye Exercise

As per the study, a normal and healthy eye should blink at least 25 times per minute on average. But, not everyone is taking this seriously and avoiding it due to technological advances. If the eyes are not being blinked at regular intervals, there can be issues like dryness and pain. Try blinking eye yoga and save your eyes from any damage or problems. Make the eye blinking a normal routine exercise and see the improved eyesight after a significant amount of time. Sit in a straight yoga position and blink your eyes 10-20 times in 5-6 minutes. Blinking provides the necessary lubrication to the eyes and saves from any itchiness or dryness in the long run. Try this exercise for 20 minutes every day and you will find better eyesight and reduced headache.

5. Sleep Relaxation Eye Exercise

Sleep is very necessary for both eyes and body. A healthy dose of sleep can save you from a lot of diseases and so is an eye infection. Small naps at your workplace can relax the eyes or a small break from watching TV and closing them for a minute can provide the rest to the eyes. While lying down at home, try to close your eyes and breathe deeply to relax your eyes and head. A proper sleep time is very necessary to keep the eyesight in protection. The constant work or not sleeping can cause tiredness in the eyes and head and will cause unnecessary headaches and eye problems.
