OcuTone, provided by Douglas Laboratories, is a dietary supplement providing a well-balanced spectrum of key nutrients that are important in maintaining normal eye function. OcuTone delivers generous amounts of lutein, beta-carotene, flavonoids, glutathione, sulfur-containing amino acids, trace elements and a comprehensive array of antioxidant vitamins.
More than any other tissue in the body, the ocular lens and retina are continually exposed to oxygen and intense light radiation. Both light and oxygen can create free radicals that play havoc with fatty acids in the membranes of visual cells.
OcuTone Vegetarian Caps from Douglas Labs contain antioxidant vitamins lutein trace elements and amino acids that can help support proper eye nutrition. Lutein and Beta-Carotene may work as tough antioxidants that can protect the rod cells in our eyes from light-induced free radical damage.
Vitamins C and E also protect delicate lens proteins to keep damaging toxins out and eye cells healthy. Douglas Labs' OcuTone also features Taurine an amino acid that aids in calcium distribution that can also work as a membrane stabilizer for the eyes.
