Effer-C, provided by Douglas Laboratories, contains corn-free vitamin C, specially buffered with calcium, magnesium, and potassium.
Effer-C 240 gms by Douglas Labs gives a boost to the body's immune system. Each serving contains 2,350 mg. of Vitamin C from minerals, 450 mg. of Calcium from Calcium Ascorbate, 250 mg. of Magnesium from Magnesium Ascorbate, and 99 mg. of Potassium from Potassium Ascorbate. Also includes Potassium bicarbonate, citric acid and rose hips.
Vitamin C is one of the most beneficial nutrients the body can benefit from. It can typically be obtained from vegetables and citrus fruits. Douglas Labs' Effer C provides 1175 mg of vitamin C in each serving. Vitamin C is a required nutrient for the synthesis of several neurotransmitters.
Vitamin C is also a very efficient antioxidant. Antioxidants are helpful because they can protect sensitive cells and tissues from oxidative free radical damage. Additionally vitamin C plays a part in the formation of collagen fibers joint cartilage and bones as well as may support potential improvements to immune system health and improve aspects of cell division which is important for effective immune system responses.
Douglas Labs' Effer C can be easily mixed with water or juice. It contains no yeast wheat gluten soy protein milk/dairy corn sodium sugar starch artificial coloring preservatives or flavoring.
