Product Description Vitamin B1, also known as Thiamine, is the first numbered member of the B vitamin family. B1 is found in many foods including yeast, cereal grains, beans, nuts and meat. It is often used in combination with other B vitamins. There are two forms of thiamine often used in vitamin B1 supplements - thiamine hydrochloride and thiamine mononitrate. They are both synthetic, however thiamine hydrochloride (HCl) is water-soluble, unlike thiamine mononitrate. This makes it harder to manufacture, but much more effective as a supplement as the body can absorb it easier. That's why we only use thiamine hydrochloride in our vitamin B1 supplement.
