Description
Propolis is a wax-like, resinous substance that bees collect from tree buds, or other botanical sources. In the Alecrim plant, bees get sources of resin for top species of green propolis. In severe conditions, bees use the green propolis to close off small openings and cracks in their hives, welding honeycombs, as well as sealing off the hives from cold winds, and preventing the entrance of natural enemies (fungus and bacteria). Propolis is thus the raw material used in the construction of bee's hives. The green propolis contains over 400 chemical compounds including flavonoids, Phenolics etc. These compounds permit various physiological activities already proved scientifically, which include antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant. Recommended Use or Purpose: Used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve sore throat and/or other mouth and throat infections. Source of antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.Recommended Dose:Oral, for children (aged 2-4) take 1 drop, (aged 5-9) 2-3 drops. (aged 10-12) 10-20 drops, once a day. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 1 month. Cautions and Warnings: Prior to first dose, administer 1 drop to child and monitor closely for signs of an allergic response (eg. rash, swelling, trouble breathing).
