Collected from the ian forest of Venezuela, the precious beans travel up the River in bags hidden under the pirogues, shielded from indiscreet eyes. Then, for two months, they are dried to allow the coumarin crystals to form. By combining three types of extractions, the structure of Tonka progressively unveils. A rich and dense base note, close to the original, is subtly rounded off by a hint of honey, the sensory memory of sensuality. A slightly jasmine like heart note creates a sense of a bright, ethereal opening. A bitter almond start signs the fragrance with a vegetal imprint. The notes are united and accords are revealed which soften the composition. Art and magic grant Tonka a strong, shimmering signature dressed in mystery, style, joy and elegance.
