Lysine supports many bodily functions and constitutes a building block for proteins. It is also an antagonist to L-arginine. For our supplement, we combined fermentation-derived L-lysine with green tea and lemon balm (Melissa officinalis). The green tea extract contains 50% EGCG and the lemon balm extract is standardised to 2.5% rosmarinic acid. Both are unique antioxidants that have anti-viral properties and thus contribute to the action of L-lysine. Our L-lysine capsules each contain 500 mg of pure L-lysine from L-lysine HCL, 50 mg lemon balm extract and 25 mg green tea extract. Our supplement is free from synthetic additives such as magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose which are commonly found in L-lysine tablets.
