The opening is a fresh effusion of rose absolute spiced with nutmeg and made subtly smoky with hints of incense. Deep, leathery labdanum, earthy-sweet patchouli and unmistakable, alluring oud flourish in the heart notes. Softer base tones of warm amber, shimmering musk and vanilla join with creamy sandalwood to produce a sensual yet understated finish with a hint of sweetness. Royal Oud was introduced in 2015 as part of the K88 collection, which also includes the unisex compositions Black Vetiver (2014), Silver Wood (2016) and Rouge Santal (2015), the women’s scents Gold (2012) and Green Diamond (2008) and men’s fragrance In White (2010). Originally established in 1978 as a jewelry house, Korloff Paris introduced its first perfume in 1996.
