Description
What is Hesperidin Hesperidin is a major flavonoid commonly found in citrus fruits and some vegetables. Hesperidin was first isolated in 1828 from the inner white layer of citrus peels and is the food bound form of hesperitin, a bioflavonoid that mediates most benefits of hesperidin including cardiovascular benefits. Its important to note the difference between hesperitin and Hesperidin is Hesperidin converts into hesperitin in the body. For a while, hesperitin was incorrectly labeled as Vitamin C as it is found in citrus products and particularly concentrated in orange peels.
