This beautiful, authentic Fair Trade African Black Soap by Akamuti is traditionally handcrafted by a women's cooperatives in Ghana, West Africa. It is made of 50% pure, organically grown shea butter & wildcrafted palm oil. The lye that is used in the saponification process, is made from the ash of dried cocoa pods.There are no chemicals, preservatives, colour enhancers or fragrances added to the formula. The black shade of the soap develops as a result of the saponification process which it undergoes. It is completely free from black dyes & charcoal.This soap has a very mild scent & a wonderful creamy lather, which leaves your skin moisturised and soft. African Black Soap is one of the healthiest soaps for the skin due to the purity and simplicity of the ingredients.It leaves the skin smooth and soft making it ideal to use on dry and problematic skin. Use as a body soap on all skin types. This soap comes packaged in fully recyclable paper and cardboard (made from 70% recycled cardboard). The cellophane used is of plant origin and thus fully biodegradable.
