I was so excited by the idea of taking a nightly bath, but I rarely did it. Fast-forward to now and I make sure to carve out time for myself to relax. I use a Kansa wand and do a facial massage at least once per week, make tea from flowers, and have recently adopted the rule of not using the hair dryer at all.

When the cold weather comes in, I find myself with more time on my hands. I decided to step up my self-care routine and give baths a try. When I was feeling stressed or wasn't sleeping so well, I tried out holistic detox methods like a nightly bath and massage. It did help me with my anxiety and sleep issues, but I've also read that there are many benefits from regular hot baths - from relieving sore muscles to reducing stress.

By the third session, I felt like my body had adjusted to bath time and that it was time for me to go. I found myself getting relaxed in just a few massage sessions! One routine morning, I woke up and skipped a shower before heading out the door but saw that it allowed me to take a slower paced day. This made me love it even more, knowing it facilitated some quality sleep. By night three, I had started my day with a routine of doing all the necessities. Then by night four, I was already immersed in putting my "work before pleasure" philosophy into practice.

Hot baths are the only way I can unwind and relax. Instead of waking up with a sore neck or tight joints, I felt like my younger, more agile self, stepping out of bed in the morning after taking a yoga class. Stretching (particularly during the morning) is an important part of staying healthy and maintaining a youthful energy.
