Lutein plays a role in the maintenance of eye health and is the principle Carotenoid found in the central area of the retina called the macula. Carotenoids are fat-soluble antioxidants found in s, vegetables, marigolds and other plants. Manufactured in United States.

Things to know
- The commonly studied dose in major eye-health trials is around 10 mg lutein + 2 mg zeaxanthin daily. This product provides a higher lutein dose (40 mg). While studies have used doses up to 40 mg and generally found them well tolerated, there isn't strong evidence that 40 mg is more effective than lower doses for most people.
- Lutein is fat-soluble, so taking it with a meal containing some fat may improve absorption.
