- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing is a primary dressing for use when adherence to the wound is a potential problem. The dressing allows exudate to pass into an absorbent secondary dressing. On the skin, the dressing will provide secure adhesion with minimal epidermal stripping or pain on removal
- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing consists of a knitted polyester fabric coated with silicone adhesive on both sides which prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound and reduces pain during dressing change.
- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing can be used in conjunction with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT).
- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing is indicated for use on nil to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds, with an appropriate secondary dressing.
- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing maybe used throughout the healing process on skin tears, surgical incisions, second degree burns, partial thickness skin grafts, pressure ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers. The dressing is suitable to be used under compression bandaging.
- Activheal Silicone Wound Contact Layer dressing can remain in situ for upto 14 days, dependent on patient condition, the level of exudte.
